Rochester Water Polo is a Co-ed Club Team comprised of mixed age and skill level players who practice and compete throughout the year. Practices are held at Greater Rochester area colleges/universities, public pools and facilities.

No dues are collected other than tournament and series fees for those players who participate. Any one with relatively strong swimming skills is welcome to join/play. Athlete ability levels range from beginner to experienced level players.

The club usually practices weekly and participates in a few tournaments annually.

Current Rochester Water Polo Events:

Annual Polo on the Bay Summer Series at the Rochester Canoe Club.

Open water practice/scrimmage on Irondequoit Bay. Moderately strong deep water swimming skills required, Co-ed, youth and adults age 10 and up, beginner to advanced water polo skill levels. Typically held weekly, late June to the end of August, 6-7:30 pm at the Rochester Canoe Club, 2050 Bay Shore Blvd, Rochester NY 14622

Annual Polo on the Bay One Day Tournament Typically held the last Saturday in August Hosted by Roc City Sailing [https://roccitysailing.org/] and the Rochester Canoe Club [https://rochestercc.org/] Upstate New York College and Masters teams participate with the BBQ running all afternoon.

Annual University of Rochester Water Polo Tournaments College and Masters teams Typically one tournament in the fall/winter semester and one in the spring Other events during the year are communicated through Rochester-Water-Polo Google Groups email distribution.
